Character Design and Development

Tools Used:

Maya and Photoshop

Role:

Artist + Designer

This animation was created as the final project for my 3D Character Design Course during Fall 2015. During that time I conceptualized, illustrated, modeled, rigged, and animated the character seen in the video.

Overview

This page showcases character designs I have done for other projects that aren't showcased in my portfolio. Some of these were created as school projects, others were created for personal projects in my spare time.

3D Game Assets

All models shown in Sketchfab are game-ready assets.

Click play and then use the following controls to view the models:

Orbit: 1 finger drag or Left Mouse Button

Pan: 2-finger drag or Right Mouse Button or SHIFT+ Left Mouse Button

Food Fight Tower Defense Characters

One day I got the idea to design a 3D tower defense game that pitted low-poly fast food characters against one another. I decided that "Food Fight" would be an appropriate name for the game. The two batches of characters would be a cheeseburger, fries, and ketchup turret versus a hot dog, soda, and mustard turret. Although I haven't finished the gameplay of the game, I have created the cast of characters I intend to feature in this tower defense project.

Burger

Ketchup Turret

Drink

Fries

Hot Dog

Mustard Turret

Marvel Characters

I am a huge fan of comic book characters and love both Marvel and DC. I decided to 3D model and texture some Marvel characters in my spare time. Here are a few of my best.

Venom

Dr. Doom

Pokemon Battle Game Characters

I created a YouTube tutorial series on creating a Pokemon battle video game using Unity and Maya. Here are a few of the Pokemon characters that I 3D modeled and textured for that project.

Ho-Oh

Ivysaur

Robot Battle Mech

In the final Unity-based class at NJIT, Advanced Game Production, the class of approximately 15 students functioned as a small game studio and worked together to create one large game project. I was a 3D artist on the project tasked with creating a number of environment assets for the project. Each artist also created their own Battle Robot with primary and secondary weapons for each. Below is the robot that I conceptualized, designed, and modeled.
